If you prefer a different meal plan than the ones provided in the app, you can still log your meals with MyDiabetes.
To log a meal, start here:
- Click the + icon at the bottom menu.
- Click Other food.
- Choose which meal of the day you want to log and click Add food.
- From there, you can (A) search for foods in our database or (B) use the barcode scanner.
A. To Search for Foods:
- Enter an ingredient or a meal into the search.
- Tap + by the food you had.
- Fill in the food's weight or pick a serving size.
- Tap Add food.
- If you have more to add, use Add more.
- If you want to easily access the meals later, click Save to My meals. They will appear in My meals tab.
- Finish by tapping Log.
B. Using the Barcode Scanner:
- Tap the scanner icon by the search.
- Let the app use your camera if asked.
- Put the barcode in the frame to scan, or tap to type the code in.
- After scanning, fill in how much you ate and hit Add food.
- If the code doesn't work, you can put the food in manually using the earlier steps.
